Two sensing cable channels, up to 100 m of cable each
Leak location to within 0.5 m, response in under 5 s
WiFi, Ethernet or 4G, an on-site siren and a 12 V output for a valve
A spot leak sensor reacts only when water reaches the exact place under it. That is enough where you know where water will collect, for example under a dishwasher or in a sump. Under a raised floor, along pipes in a boiler room or under archive shelves, water flows to the lowest point, and you cannot predict where that is.
The LD1 sensing cable laid along the whole route at risk detects a leak at any point and gives the distance from the start of the cable. You do not search the whole floor, you go straight to the right metre.
Where a UbiBot GS1 logger already works in the room and only one spot needs protection, a spot water leak sensor for the GS1 is simpler (see Accessories).
The LD1 has two independent channels, A and B, so one device watches two zones, for example a server room floor and the area around the air conditioner. Lay the cable as close to the floor as possible, along pipes, under water-fed equipment and at the lowest points of the zone.
Screw a terminator onto the end of each run. Without it the LD1 reports a break alarm, the same as for a cut or disconnected cable, so you also learn about damage to the installation itself.
Sensing cable comes in 3 m or 10 m lengths. Between the device and a zone, or between two zones, you extend it with a 5 m or 10 m connection cable, which does not detect water itself. Once wiped or dry, the cable returns to standby and does not need replacing.
Wherever water from pipes can flow unnoticed and nobody is around.
When it detects a leak, the LD1 sounds a siren and flashes a light, and its 4-inch display shows the channel and the distance in metres. You silence the alarm with a button, and after 5 minutes (set on the platform) monitoring resumes by itself.
Through the UbiBot cloud the LD1 sends an alert in the app, by email, SMS, voice call or HTTP to your own system. You set rules and recipients in the app or in the web console (UbiBot cloud platform). A separate alert can warn you when the device loses its connection.
In alarm state the 3.5 mm relay socket supplies 12 V (up to 100 mA). You can connect a 12 V signal device or a solid-state relay that closes a solenoid valve or starts a 230 V pump.
The LD1 keeps detecting leaks and alarming locally, and stores up to 300,000 records to send when the connection returns.
You can connect the UB-SS-N1 smoke detector or a temperature and humidity probe such as the TH30S-B (we confirm compatibility of a specific probe when you order, see Accessories). Instead of probes, the port can serve a supervisory controller that reads the LD1 status.
A data SIM from a local operator works just like the UbiBot Global SIM and usually costs less. The LD1 does not support 5 GHz networks or WPA2-Enterprise. On a company network it needs outgoing connections to the UbiBot cloud only.

UbiBot devices carry the CE mark and meet RoHS requirements. The manufacturer also lists market approvals such as FCC (USA), IC (Canada) and RCM (Australia).
Is there a subscription for the platform? No. The UbiBot cloud, the app, and app and email alerts are free. SMS and voice calls are paid according to the manufacturer's pricing.
Does the cable need replacing after a leak? No. Once wiped or dry, it returns to standby.
Does the LD1 work when the internet is down? Yes, locally: it detects the leak, sounds the siren, shows the location on the display and puts 12 V on the relay output. Phone alerts go out when the connection returns, unless you have the 4G version.
Can I connect it to a company network? Yes. The Ethernet version works on a wired network, and the LD1 needs only outgoing connections to the UbiBot cloud.
Can I combine it with a GS1 logger in a server room? Yes. You see the LD1 and the GS1 in one account and one app, with separate alert rules.
We are Omnic, the authorised UbiBot distributor in Poland, and we sell to companies and private customers in all EU countries. We order the LD1 from the manufacturer for each order, in every connectivity version. Tell us which version you need (WiFi, Ethernet or 4G), how long the protected route is and where to deliver, and we will choose the sensing and connection cable lengths and send a quote in EUR with the delivery time. EU companies with a valid VAT number are invoiced without Polish VAT. On request we configure the device before shipping (paid service).
